I thought the calendar says April?

So why does the outside look like it should say it’s February?
We woke up this morning to find that good ole Mother Nature played another trick on us. We had 6″ of snow on the ground by 6:00 AM. It’s just past noon and we have another 6″. Kodi and Ginger, our husky and samoyed, naturally loved it. Christine just planted some root vegetables this past weekend (onions and potatoes. They’ll be fine. Luckily it won’t stay for long… It’s supposed to be near 80 degrees F on Saturday.
We had a similar storm the Spring of 1987. On April 30th we received 12″ of snow. I remember it well. I was in junior high school and my parents were building their new house. They had ordered an Allouette modular home and two halves were supposed to arrive from Canada in early May. The lot was on a slope. Three walls of the foundation were concrete while the other was stick framed. The concrete portion was placed and ready, except the wooden knee wall had to be erected to support one long side of the house. My dad had organized a framing crew made up of guys that he worked with at the paper mill (wow, that seems like forever…) for that morning. Before we could work we all grabbed shovels and cleared out the foundation so we could work. What a mess. The house did arrive on schedule and my parents still live there.
Ah, spring in New Hampshire.
