Work from 10/26/2010 – 11/24/2010 As discussed in other posts, the coaming is made of two parts that slip together. Now it’s time to laminate the inner part of the riser and the lip and bond it to the kayak.
Neytiri: Recessed carbon fiber and tube deck fittings

Work from 11/11/2010 – 11/20/2010 To date all of the kayaks that have left the shop have had one type of deck fitting for the entire boat. They either have wood fittings, fiberglass “Maroske” tubes, or recessed carbon fiber ones. This project has two types of deck fittings.

Neytiri: Compass recess and hatches

Work from 11/7/2010 – 11/13/2010 With the deck ‘glassed inside and out attention turned to some of the outfitting. A recess for the compass will be installed. The hatches will be Beckson deck plates… but with twist.
