Every Boat is Custom Made: Every kayak is designed as per the client’s specifications. Each boat is unique. This construction process allows a wide degree of design freedom. Just about anything is possible. Unlike virtually every other kayak manufacturer we offer a lot of different options for a totally custom boat suited to your needs, your preferences and how you paddle.

Each boat is built of several hundred individually hand fitted hand pieces of wood. Bring your ideas. It takes 8-12 weeks to built a boat. Because of the time involved there are three design and price levels. Prices are quoted based on the size of the kayak, the design level, the amount of time and the level of difficulty involved.

In order to give our customers the best materials for their kayak, the exterior of our bright, painted and hybrid kayaks is four coats of a tough automotive urethane.  The final three coats are DuPont ChromaPremier 72200s.  It’s a tough, crystal clear, three-component urethane coating. We do not use the older, inferior spar varnishes or polyester gel-coats. The interior is finished with Resin Research’s CE epoxy package featuring excellent UV blockers.  For SOF’s we use the CE epoxy.

Effective 12/22/2010 we longer will install any components made by ONNO Paddles.
